Seed Bulbil Packs
Bulbils are produced by all softneck and hardneck garlic cultivars. Hardnecks produce the more familiar scapes whilst softnecks produce bulbils in their pseudostem (just above the bulb and before the first leaves) but only do so when stressed.
Bulbils are an effective means of increasing stock levels and acclimating a garlic to a new region. Smaller bulbils will often take 2-5 years to produce commercial size bulbs. Generational garlic grown from bulbils will outperform parent bulb line by up to 200% in a challenging season.
