Plum Pudding – Black Garlic (Aged) in Clove Skin

Plum Pudding (Aged Black Garlic) is made to strict medicinal black garlic process and was named by one of my customers who instantly said it tasted like “Plum Pudding with caramel date sauce”.  Kept in their clove skins for optimal moisture management and visual appeal.

Cheese Matches:  All but specifically great with the hard and strong flavoured – but exceptional with vintage cheddars, blue, hard goat and sheep cheeses.  There is a wonderful flavour fusion with these exceptional cheeses.

Heath:  The health qualities of garlic are innumerable however black garlic intensifies and preserves medicinal qualities in an easy to digest form.  Immune building, anti-bacterial and anti-viral benefits – eat a clove a day (delicious).

Culinary:  Enjoyed with pizza, pasta, soups, risotto … almost any dish – it adds a richness of flavour. Ottolenghi has wonderful recipes using black garlic in Simple and Flavour.
