Garlic for elevanted cold climate regions, where Winter is long, cold and wet and Spring if very delayed, cold, cool and wet and often with temperatures that remain below 20 degrees C.

These prolonged growing conditions allow for the extra cold loving garlics to shine, however the warm temperate and cool temperate garlics will still grow in these conditions – they simply will be a little smaller than if grown in their ideal slightly warmer conditions.

Porcelain and Rocambole garlic groups need these extra cold winter conditions and cool Spring conditions to grow to full size. All other garlics excepting Subtropicals will still grow in cold climates – just smaller.
